So I must admit one of the appeals in moving to Colorado was the seasons. Being from Louisiana, it was also one of the things I dreaded... especially the snow. Driving in it, walking my dogs in it, shoveling it. But I don't know if you ever stop being excited about newly fallen blankets of it. With the sun reflecting tiny sparkles that glitter and twinkle and fill you with magical wonder. It truly is a winter wonderland.
Until... you have to get out into, to walk your absolutely adorable dog but have to pick him up every few feet because his little feet are frozen and then carry him all the way home, to STRUGGLE with opening the manual garage door that is frozen solid, to try and find a snow shovel to clear the driveway but only find an actual shovel and take twice the time clearing it, to go to work on Christmas Eve, to see nary a soul.
But that's all worth it to enjoy this moment...
